Welcome to Year 1

Year 1 week ending 18.3.22

Dear Parents,

This week, we focused on why the church is important, what we must do when entering the church and how a church is God’s house. The children were able to recognise the importance of being respectful when entering the church and how we as people are what make a church not just the building. We also individually voted for the fairy tale our class will be focusing on for the remainder of the term. The children started to look at and begin to plan their own writing for their fairy tale which will be continued next week. Along with a fun day out trip to Shrek adventures 🙂

Sustran’s Walk and Wheel to School

St Cyprian’s will be taking part in a walk and wheel to school competition from 21st March to 1st April!

How it works
On each day of the challenge schools compete to see
who can record the greatest number of pupils walking,
using a wheelchair, scooting or cycling to school.
A school’s best five days will determine their final position
and schools at the top of their leaderboards will receive an
exclusive Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel certificate.

There are also opportunities to win individual prizes.
