This week in English, the children have thoroughly enjoyed learning and performing our new story, Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type. We have been building on our previous learning to continue developing our letter-writing skills.

In Maths, we have started our exciting new topic of fractions, focusing on recognising and identifying one half.

This week in English, we have been enjoying a new story, Paddington’s Post. The children have been exploring the journey a letter takes through the postal system, as well as learning about the key features needed when writing their own letters.

In Maths, we have had lots of fun practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s, building both confidence and fluency.

There will be no phonics homework set over the Easter break; however, we encourage you to continue reading with your child as often as possible.

I have assigned some optional maths and spelling games for the children to enjoy, but there is no pressure to complete them — please make sure your child takes the time to rest and recharge after a busy term.

For the Easter activities, the children can choose one of the two options, or they are welcome to complete both if they would like.
