The children have been given an extra reading book to enjoy over the half term. Please encourage them to read as much as possible and ensure all books are returned in good condition. An additional maths task has also been set on EdShed for the children to complete.

We hope you all have a restful and well-deserved half term break, and we look forward to seeing everyone again in November!

Thank you for your continued support,

Week ending – 18.07.25

Dear Parents and Carers,

And just like that we are in our final week of the year! It feels like it was only yesterday that we were welcoming in the children in September, and now they are all ready to go off to their new classes.

I would just like to thank you all for your support and cooperation this year, it has been a privilege to teach this Year 1 class and I wish all of the children the best of luck in Year 2.

There is no home learning this week, so have a lovely weekend and enjoy a bit of rest and relaxation.

Please remember the class party is on Monday, so if you would like to bring in some snacks for the children to enjoy, please remember that they must be dairy and nut free.

I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Miss Rashti

Week ending – 11.07.25

We are almost at the end of the year! It has been a fantastic year and it has been lovely to get to know all of the Year 1 pupils.

In English, we have been looking at the beginning stages of writing recounts through the book ‘Ruby’s Worry’.

In Maths we have been learning about money and recognizing the value of coins.

I hope you have a lovely weekend in the sun!

Week ending – 04.07.25

Dear Parents and Carers

This week has been another busy one! We have been doing assessments for the end of the year and the children should feel very proud of everything that they have accomplished this week.

In computing, the children have been exploring how to present data in different forms.

In Science, the children have been putting their scientific skills to the test by measuring the footprints of animals and predicting what animal they belong to.

I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Miss Rashti
