Dear Parents of children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6,
As you are aware, the government is asking primary schools to welcome back children from Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 from the week commencing 1st June and we are currently making plans for this.
To this end, I am asking parents to complete the short questionnaire for each child in the year groups above on the attached link by Tuesday 19th May.

Today would have been the start of SATs week.
We know that a lot of you were really excited to take them and may feel a little sad. That is 100% okay! All the effort you have put in hasn’t been in vain, be proud of where you are in this moment.

I can also see that some of you have read lots of books on Epic so well done those who have done this (I think it only works during school hours so this may be why some of you had a problem with access in the past!).

Hi Year 6,
I hope everyone is doing well. This week is a very special week as Friday is a Bank Holiday when we will celebrate VE Day. This day marks the 75thanniversary of the end of World War 2 in Europe. You could try to make a cake or afternoon tea for your family to celebrate this!

I have also found some free CGP books on Amazon that I recommend you download. They are free Kindle versions and they are currently free – I do not know when they will stop being free so download them as soon as possible! You do not need a Kindle to use these – you can download the Kindle App.
I have included a Key Stage 3 Grammar and Maths Book as these will be useful for you in future as you move on to secondary school.
There are also some chapter books here

There is a fantastic free book called the Book of Hopes that has been published by the National Literacy Trust and is free to download. It is a collection of short stories, poems, essays and illustrations by famous children’s authors. Please click on the following link and please do try to read it.
