Good afternoon Yr 6’s,
Homework for this week:
Maths: There is a task set on Mathshed. Due Wednesday.
Spelling: There is a task set on Spellshed. Due Wednesday.
English: Begin your first draft of your story in your homework books. Remember to include the non-negotiables: semi colon, range of fronted adverbials, subordinate clause and ENP’s. This needs to be completed by Monday.

For this weekend the homework below is optional if you wish to fit in a final practice over the weekend. The main priority for this weekend is that you make time for yourself to focus on your own wellbeing and ensure you are doing some of the coping strategies for stress that we have discussed in class. You have all worked extremely hard and we don’t doubt that you will absolutely smash the exams next week!! You have got this, believe in yourself and you will achieve 🙂

Maths: There are TWO tasks set on Mathshed. You are to complete both of them as they are practice questions for the arithmetic and reasoning papers.

Homework for the Easter Holiday:
We are giving you a range of practice tests to do during the holiday. Please can these be completed under timed conditions and then marked after using the mark scheme provided. This will help you to practice as well as identify any areas you need to focus and revise over the Easter break. Keep in mind we don’t have very long left when we come back to school so please try your best to focus and work hard on these practice papers.
Maths:
1 x Maths Paper 1 Arithmetic – 30 minutes
1 x Maths Paper 3 Reasoning – 40 minutes
English:
1 x Reading paper – 60 minutes
1 x SPaG paper – 45 minutes (not Kalymnos class)
This homework is due on Wednesday 27th April 2022.

After the fantastic Easter celebration you guys put together this week we have decided to give you guys the weekend to rest and recuperate ready for the final two days of this term. However, If you do find yourself with a bit of spare time and want something to do…
I would like you to spend 30mins outside completing some sort of physical activity. Whether that be through: football, basketball, walking, running etc. Remember Sports day is coming up fast!!!

English: Using the image below, write an adventure story about this dragon. Remember to follow this story structure: introduction, build up, dilemma and resolution. Please complete this in your homework books. Some things to consider about this character:
- Where is it from?
- Why is it so small?
- Are there more like him?
- Where does he live?
- How will you look after it?
- Will you keep it a secret or tell someone?
- Is it magic? What magic can it do?
Greek: You need to practice reading the Greek songs below for our Easter production (please see the previous homework).

English: As part of Neurodiversity week, you need to create a poster on a famous person that has one of the following learning differences: ADHD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Tourette syndrome or Autism. You can do this in your homework books or on a piece of paper.
Greek: You have been learning this song in class. You need to practice this at home so you know the words by Monday.
