Welcome to Year 4

We recommend doing these and the BBC Bitesize learning at https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons

Please remember, as Mrs Mantilas said to parents in her previous letter, this is only a guidance and do not feel obliged to do everything.

If you would like to do some more reading please also go to www.oxfordowl.co.uk

Week beginning 06.04.20

Hi everyone,

Well done for the past few weeks. It has been a hard time but together we can get through it. As we come towards the Easter period, take the time to relax and prepare for the resurrection of our Lord.

Repeating what was said by Mrs Mantilas earlier in the week, see this work as a guidance. If you feel your chidlren would prefer to do other activities such as cooking or spending the time outdoors, do not feel obliged to pressure your chidlren to complete all the work. As always the mental wellbeing of your chidlren comes first so take your judgement as to what you want your children to do.

Please remember to access the following sites, we have set some fun activities for you to do:

The annunciation of the Theotokos

Good morning Year 4

Today is the Annunciation of the Theotokos. The day that the angel Gabrielle came down and told Mary that she was to have a baby and he was going to be the Messiah Jesus Christ.

I would like you to watch the following video that tells you the story of the Annunciation then read the story from the bible link below. Then when you have watched those, pretend you are Mary and you have to write a diary entry about the day you received the news about your new baby that you are going to have.

Link to story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZXtTgZ0rpI

Bible verse:  https://www.bible.com/bible/68/LUK.1.26-39.GNT

Also below is the link to the prayer for the annunciation of Theotokos. You can listen to this while you are doing your work.

Have a blessed day

Mr Theophilou
