Welcome to Year 3

Week ending 24.06.22

Dear Parents,

In preparation for investigation week next week, the homework for this weekend is for the children to use a Maths portal we are trailing in school next week.

The children should have been given to bring home their usernames and passwords for this portal. They are different to the ones they use for  all their other homework things.

Link for the homework is below

There are also spellings on Spell shed and times tables on Maths Shed.

Have a great weekend

Half term home learning

Hi all,

Well done for all your hard work over the last 5 weeks at school. We hope you enjoy your holidays as much as you can.

For your half term, I would like you to keep a diary. It can be a physical one in your home learning book, or it can be a digital one with photos on purple mas. I have set it as a To Do for all of you to have access to.

Also, spelling homework has been assigned on Spell shed.

Have a great rest

Week ending

This weekend for your writing task, can you create a menu of your favourite dinner.

Make sure to include:

  • The different nutrient groups in each part of the menu
  • Powerful adjectives to describe the food itself
  • A brief review underneath trying to persuade people to eat this food.

As next week is short, can this task be returned by Tuesday.

Week ending 06.05.22

Hi all,

Well done for another week. As well as home learning there are also a couple of notices for next week. As the weather is getting warmer, can we please make sure that all children come in with a water bottle. Also as children are taking their jumpers/cardigans because of the weather, can you please just make sure that jumpers/cardigans are labelled so no uniform goes missing.

A quick reminder for parents in Spetses. We will be going to start our swimming on Monday. So please make sure that all children come in to school with their swimming kit. Swimming suit, towel, goggles, swimming cap and if needed verucca socks.

Children must be able to get themselves changed.

Have a lovely weekend, and enjoy the hot weather.

Week ending 29th April 2022

Hi all,

In our Maths lesson this week we have been learning about division techniques and in our English lessons we have started our new book of Stig of the dump. We will be using it to create an adventure story at the end of the half term.

The homework is listed below, and as always there is extra activities on Ed shed for you to challenge yourselves with.

Summer 1 Week 1

week ending 1st April 2022

Hi all,

Firstly can I say well done to all the children of year 3. Our assemblies went really well, and you couldn’t have made us more proud as teachers.

As this week was a very busy week in terms of tests and Kew Gardens, we will not set writing homework this week. However, I have put some activities on Ed shed to do. Have a lovely weekend

Sustran’s Walk and Wheel to School

St Cyprian’s will be taking part in a walk and wheel to school competition from 21st March to 1st April!

How it works
On each day of the challenge schools compete to see
who can record the greatest number of pupils walking,
using a wheelchair, scooting or cycling to school.
A school’s best five days will determine their final position
and schools at the top of their leaderboards will receive an
exclusive Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel certificate.

There are also opportunities to win individual prizes.

Be part of something BIG
Our vision is a society where the way we travel creates
healthier places and happier lives for everyone

Home learning Spring 2 Week 2

Hi all,

Sorry for there being a delay in home learning being updated. For that reason the home learning that has been set will not be expected to be returned this week but the following week.

In the meantime we will continue to update Ed Shed with more activities that are linked with our current learning in Maths and some grammar activities in English. We are currently learning formal methods for multiplication.

Spring-2-Week-2

Thanks
